Welcome to Quick Plumbing and Drain. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our services and website. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Services Provided
1.1 Scope of Services
Quick Plumbing and Drain provides professional plumbing services in Barrie, Newmarket, Orillia, Ontario, and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), including but not limited to:
- Emergency plumbing repairs (24/7 availability)
- Drain cleaning and unclogging
- Fixture installation and repair
- Water heater installation, repair, and replacement
- Pipe repair and replacement
- Leak detection and repair
- Other residential and commercial plumbing services
1.2 Service Area
We primarily serve Barrie, Newmarket, Orillia, Ontario, and surrounding areas in the GTA. Service availability may vary based on location and current demand.
2. Scheduling and Appointments
2.1 Booking
Services can be booked by phone, email, or through our website contact form. We will confirm your appointment and provide an estimated arrival time.
2.2 Emergency Services
Emergency services are available 24/7. Response times may vary based on current demand and location. We strive to respond to emergencies within 1-2 hours.
2.3 Cancellations and Rescheduling
- Customers may cancel or reschedule appointments with at least 24 hours' notice
- Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee
- We reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to weather, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances
3. Pricing and Payment
3.1 Estimates and Quotes
- Initial estimates are provided based on the information you provide
- Final pricing is determined after on-site assessment of the work required
- Written quotes are provided upon request for larger projects
- Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified
- All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated
3.2 Payment Terms
- Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing
- We accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, and e-transfers
- For larger projects, a deposit may be required before work begins
- Outstanding invoices are due within 30 days of the invoice date
- Late payments may incur interest charges of 2% per month
3.3 Additional Charges
Additional charges may apply for:
- After-hours or emergency services
- Travel outside our primary service area
- Specialized equipment or materials
- Unforeseen complications discovered during work
You will be notified of any additional charges before work proceeds.
4. Warranties and Guarantees
4.1 Workmanship Warranty
We guarantee our workmanship for a period of:
- 90 days for repairs and service work
- 1 year for installations and replacements
4.2 Parts and Materials
- Parts and materials are covered by manufacturer warranties
- We will assist with warranty claims on parts we have supplied
- Warranty coverage excludes damage caused by misuse, neglect, or normal wear and tear
4.3 Warranty Exclusions
Our warranty does not cover:
- Pre-existing conditions or problems
- Damage caused by customer negligence or misuse
- Normal wear and tear
- Issues caused by modifications made by others
- Damage from natural disasters, accidents, or acts of God
5. Customer Responsibilities
5.1 Access and Preparation
Customers are responsible for:
- Providing clear access to work areas
- Removing personal belongings and valuables from work areas
- Ensuring pets are secured away from work areas
- Providing accurate information about the plumbing issue
- Disclosing any known hazards (e.g., asbestos, lead pipes)
5.2 Property Protection
While we take care to protect your property, customers are responsible for:
- Moving fragile items away from work areas
- Providing protective coverings if desired
- Informing us of any special concerns or delicate items
6. Limitation of Liability
6.1 Service Limitations
Our liability is limited to:
- The cost of services provided
- Direct damages caused by our negligence
- Maximum liability not exceeding the total amount paid for the specific service
6.2 Exclusions
We are not liable for:
- Pre-existing plumbing problems or defects
- Damage caused by factors beyond our control
- Consequential, indirect, or incidental damages
- Loss of business, profits, or data
- Problems arising from customer-provided materials or instructions
6.3 Insurance
We carry liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage. Proof of insurance is available upon request.
7. Emergency Services
7.1 Nature of Emergencies
Emergency services are provided for urgent situations including but not limited to:
- Burst pipes or major leaks
- Sewage backups
- No hot water in cold weather
- Flooding or water damage risks
7.2 Emergency Response
- We strive to respond to emergencies as quickly as possible
- Response times are estimates and not guaranteed
- Emergency services may incur premium rates
- Immediate repairs may be necessary to prevent further damage
8. Permits and Regulations
8.1 Compliance
All work is performed in accordance with:
- Ontario Building Code
- Local municipal bylaws and regulations
- Applicable plumbing codes and standards
8.2 Permits
For work requiring permits:
- We will advise you if permits are required
- We can obtain permits on your behalf (fees apply)
- Permit costs are in addition to service costs
- Work will not proceed without required permits
9. Intellectual Property
9.1 Website Content
All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and designs, is the property of Quick Plumbing and Drain and is protected by Canadian copyright laws.
9.2 Permitted Use
You may:

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
13. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Quick Plumbing and Drain regarding the use of our services.
